The French Foreign Ministry condemned North Korea's repeated missile launches on the 28th (local time) and urged dialogue.
A spokesperson for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to a request for comment on a newly launched missile by North Korea during a question-and-answer session with reporters on the same day.
"We condemn the increasing number of missile launches by North Korea in recent weeks," the spokesperson said.
"I once again urge North Korea to respond to proposals for dialogue between the United States and South Korea and to comply with UN Security Council resolutions so that progress on complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization can be achieved," he added.
On the morning of the 28th, North Korea fired a projectile believed to be a short-range missile from Doyang-ri, Ryongrim-gun, Jagang Province.
The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 29th that the National Defense Academy had test-fired the newly developed hypersonic Hwasong-8 missile on the morning of the previous day.
