DaWinKS (CEO JongMyung Lee), a company specializing in blockchain fintech, decided to supply the ‘Dpec Platform/DP’ solution for digital bank operation to LACENTRAL S.A. (CEO: Fernando I. Patiño Carrasco) in Nicaragua, Central and South America. At the request of LACENTRAL S.A., in consideration of the COVID-19 situation, the business agreement between the two companies was concluded through ZOOM on the 10th. LACENTRAL S.A. is the first fintech company to obtain a digital bank license from the Nicaraguan government in September this year and is officially registered with the central bank.
Meanwhile, DaWinKS installed a digital ATM (DTM/Digital autoTeller Machine) at Acuon Savings Bank (CEO HoGeun Lee) located in Seomyeon Busan Financial Center on the 20th and started an untact currency exchange service. This is the first collaboration between a financial institution and a fintech company in Korea and is attracting public attention. Next year, it plans to continue to cooperate with Acuon Financial Group to expand to mobile services for online and offline overseas remittance.
DaWinKS CEO JongMyung Lee said, "Based on industry-leading KYC (Know Your Customer) authentication, anti-money laundering (AML) solution, and advanced multinational currency banknote recognition technology, we installed a DTM for direct currency exchange and overseas remittance services. It is the first case of collaboration with a financial institution in Korea with the convergence service of fintech and blockchain technology started in Busan, the blockchain special zone. As the first case of official entry into overseas markets, I am happy to be able to supply it to Nicaragua in Latin America. I expect Nicaragua to be a bridgehead for expansion into Latin American countries."
