시봄 코인은 생체내의 게놈을 시퀀싱하고 저장할 수 있는 분산된 블록체인 기술을 기반으로 이뤄진 코인이다. 최근 이 코인은 정밀 의학 생태계를 구축하는 과정에 있으며, 조상 데이터, 개인 건강상의 통찰력 및 연구를 위한 게놈 데이터를 제공하는 플랫폼을 만들기 위해 노력하고 있다.

Jessica Amir: First up, just give us an introduction to Shivom.Axel Schumacher: Shivom is a precision medicine companywe are a start-up. We are based globally around the planet and we form a huge healthcare ecosystem. At the beginning, we are focusing our efforts on genomics and precision medicine, meaning we build the largest genomics and healthcare data hub on the planet. To do this, we work with hospitals and partners from the pharmaceutical industry, and patient support groups all around the planet, to build a huge community of people that want to revolutionise healthcare.

제시카 아미르: 시봄을 지원하는 분들에는 어떤 사람들이 있나요?

헨리 이네스: 헬스케어 혁신이라는 점에서 지금은 아주 적절한 시기입니다. 그리고 예를 들 어 우리 시봄은 헬스케어와 기술 그리고 특히 유전체학의 미래와 관련해 정부 들이 아주 진보적이고 선진적일 수 있는 시장에서 사업 매진을 추구하고 있습 니다.

그래서 우리는 호주로 눈을 돌리고 있습니다. 호주는 우리에게 지원을 많이 하고 있습니다. 현재 훌륭한 파트너와 투자가들을 연결해 주는 DigitalX와도 협업을 하고 있습니다. 우리는 또한 나스닥 상장 연구소인 GTG Lab과 전략 적 협업을 밝힌 바 있습니다. 우리는 유전체학 데이터를 통해 앞서 언급한 기 관들과 긴밀히 협업을 해 유방암을 앓고 있는 환자를 식별 및 예측하고자 합 니다.

호주 외에도 시봄은 인도의 안드라 프라데시 정부와 현재 협업 중입니다. 우리는 인도 시민들을 도울 기회가 주어진 것입니다. 우리는 시민들에게 헬 스케어에 대한 접근성을 높였습니다. 또한 시봄은 인도의 안드라 프라데시 정 부와 협업을 통해 수백만 명의 인도 시민들의 염기서열을 분석할 것입니다. 새로운 헬스케어 자원에 대한 접근성도 높일 것입니다.

Jessica Amir: Who’s been supporting Shivom to this point?Henry Ines: This is a great time right now in terms of healthcare innovation. And we are specifically looking to work in markets where, for example, governments are very progressive when it comes to the future of healthcare and technology, and specifically genomics.

So one of the markets that we’re very much focused on right now is Australia. We have a great amount of support here. We’re working with DigitalX, which is helping us identify great partners and investors. And we also recently announced our strategic alliance with GTG Lab, which is an Nasdaq listed lab. And we’re going to be working very closely with them through our genomics data, to help predict and identify possible patients who might be suffering from breast cancer.So in addition to Australia, we’re also working very closely with the Andhra Pradesh Government right now. We have a great opportunity to help a lot of the local citizens,we’ve given them access to healthcare. And so we’re going to work with the Government to potence a sequence of millions of local citizens in India, and through genomicsequencing, hopefully provide them access to new healthcare resources.

제시카 아미르: ICO에 대해 말씀을 나누자면 얼마나 많은 가치를 모을 것이며 어떤 단계에 있나요?

헨리 이네스: 우리는 75,000 이더를 모으고 있습니다. 오늘 시장 가치로는 6천5백만 달러 정도의 가치를 지녔지요. 그래서 지금 중점을 두는 점은 65,000 이더의 가치 가 나가는 개인 판매입니다. 일단 개인 판매를 완성하면 ICO를 실시할 것이 며 4월 중순쯤 될 예정입니다.

Jessica Amir: Now to the ICO itself, how much are you looking to raise and what stage are you at?Henry Ines: We’re focused right now on raising about 75,000 Ether, which is equivalent to in today’s market, roughly about $65 million. So a big part of our effort right now is focused on the private sale, which is about roughly 65,000 Ether. So once we’ve completed the private sale, we will then be moving on towards conducting our ICO, which we anticipate will be in about mid April.

Jessica Amir: Now to the coin itself, how will it be used?Axel Schumacher: A lot of opportunities where people can use the tokens on our platform. One is you can get your genome sequenced. There we have several opportunities, you can have what we call exome sequencing.

This is just sequencing part of your genome, or you can get the whole genome sequence. This is where we, as an innovative company, want to go in the future. There are a lot of apps you can access over our platform. And all these services that are usually coming from service providers, or from us, that can be directly accessed over the platform with those tokens.

제시카 아미르: 수익은 어디로 가나요?

악셀 슈마허: 시봄의 ICO 수익은 우선 전 세계 비즈니스 개발을 위해 사용될 것입니다. 우 리는 전 세계에서 활동하기를 원하기 때문이지요. 시봄은 헬스케어를 위한 큰 생태계를 구축할 것인데 즉 시봄은 마케팅에 많은 투자를 할 것입니다.

시봄은 자체 연구소가 있습니다. 적어도 각 대륙에 하나씩 게놈 염기서열 분 석 연구소를 건설하고자 합니다. 또한 우리는 유전 카운슬러의 네트워크도 구 축해 사람들이 본인들의 게놈을 이해할 수 있도록 도모할 것입니다. 이는 건 강과 웰빙을 위해서 필요합니다.

Jessica Amir: And where will the proceeds be going?Axel Schumacher: Proceeds of our ICO will go in primarily business development all around the planet, because we want to be everywhere. We will build a huge massive ecosystem for healthcare, that means we will have to invest heavily in marketing.

We have to build our own labs. We’re aiming at having at least one laboratory for genomic sequencingon each continent. In addition, we will build a huge network of genetic counsellors that help people really understand and interpret their genomes. To help them manage their health and wellness.

제시카 아미르: 일반적인 질문을 드리지요. 시장에는 수천 개의 ICO 프로젝트가 있는데 모 두 리스크도 다릅니다. 이 중 시봄이 특별한 이유가 있나요?

헨리 이네스: ICO에 관해서는 그리고 초기 스타트업 기업에 관해서는 프로젝트에 한상 많 은 위험이 도사리고 있습니다. 그래서 많은 이유로 프로젝트는 실패를 합니 다. 그래서 프로젝트의 중요점을 아는 것이 투자가들에게 중요합니다.

Jessica Amir: A more general question now, there’s thousands of ICO projects on the market, all with varying levels of risk. But why is Shivom so unique?Henry Ines: With ICOs and really any early stage start-up enterprise, there are so many risks associated with the project, so many different reasons why a project may fail. So it’s important for any investor to look at key aspects of the project.

The team, what is the use case, why is blockchain necessary for this particular project, and really look around the overall viability. This is where we think that Shivom really shines. We have an amazing team that’s focused on executing this project, in terms of ushering in the era of future healthcare and precision medicine. And we’re also working with amazing partners, best of the technologies and various protocols to make sure that our platform is completely secure. And that data privacy is the utmost importance.

Jessica Amir: What’s the size of the market opportunity?Axel Schumacher: The market size is actually huge, because we are really working all over the planet to build a large healthcare ecosystem. So this is a trillion dollar market. Part of this is the genomics and precision medicine market, which alone is over $112 billion worth. In addition, it’s important to note that genomic sequencing will become absolutely widespread.

We can expect that in the future not far ahead, like in two or three years, every hospital will offer genetic services. At some point every human being on the planet will be sequenced, at least in the developed countries. This will be a normal thing to do. And we at Shivom, we’re now at the point where we’re really at the forefront of the technology, bringing together genomics, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence and modern cryptographic methods to put everything together, to build the most sophisticated platform on the planet.

제시카 아미르: 마지막 질문을 드리지요. 참여자들이 2018년도 및 앞으로 장기적인 면에서 무엇을 기대할 수 있을까요?

악셀 슈마허: 우선 시봄은 코어 플랫폼을 마무리 짓고 있습니다. 그 이후에 시봄은 첫 염기 서열 분석 프로젝트를 시작할 것입니다. 시봄은 희귀병을 위한 우리 프로젝 트에 적합한 개인을 찾기 위해 지역 병원과 협업을 통해 혹은 민족 소집단의 염기서열을 분석하기 위해 인도에서 시범운영을 시작할 예정입니다. 현대 정 밀 의학 데이터베이스에 말이지요.

Jessica Amir: Last question now. What can participants expect over 2018 and longer term?

Axel Schumacher: At first we have to finalise our core platform. After that we will start our first sequencing projects. We have the one pilot project in India, where we work together with local hospitals to find individuals that are good to incorporate in our projects for rare diseases. Or to sequence ethnic sub-groups that need to be incorporated, in modern day precision medicine databases.
